Studio moments & class highlights

Real classes, real people, no stock photography

These are actual moments from Reformer, Tower, Mat and private sessions at ABS Pilates, the same room you'll walk into, the same equipment, the same instructor.

Technique

Mermaid on the Reformer. It helps with spinal flexibility and deep breathing.

Reformers and Tower units lined along the studio wall beside a rack of springs, rings and small props

Tower classes

Building strength and muscle balance in one of our many Tower classes. We definitely love the Pilates toys.

Between classes

Seven Reformers, reset and waiting for the evening group. Classes cap at seven, so book early.

Reformer classes

“Do you feel the muscles working?” The signs on the wall are there because Amanda asks the question every single class.

Amanda's captions, in her words

Every class she has photographed over the years, described the way she described it at the time.

Tower classes

  • It is a “Teaser” kind of day.
  • Working like a “magician” in our Tower class.
  • Building strength and muscle balance in one of our many Tower classes. We definitely love the Pilates toys.
  • Pilates is for everyone.

Reformer classes

  • Killer abs: building killer abs.
  • Perfecting the Jackknife: Reformer class.
  • Advanced Reformer techniques: building strength for our new class.
  • Diving for Pearls: Tuesday evening Reformer class.
  • Hour glass figure: working on our “hour glass figure” in Reformer class.
  • Get in and get it done: Reformer class.

Mat & outdoor sessions

  • Labor Day Pilates: our second annual Labor Day mat Pilates class and brunch.
  • Mat classes: offered daily.

Strength, flexibility & technique

  • Pilates with the Arc.
  • Mermaid on the Reformer. It helps with spinal flexibility and deep breathing.
  • Flexibility: come and learn how to “climb a tree” at ABS Pilates. It improves hamstring and hip flexibility and abdominal strength.
  • Quadruped extension: strengthening the back and arm muscles.
  • Reverse the stress: Pilates can help reverse the stresses we place on the body throughout the day.
  • It looks like synchronized swimming, but it is Pilates.

Who you'll be in the room with

A welcoming studio for every body

These captures show real people, just like you, laughing, challenging themselves, and growing stronger. Pilates is for everyone, and small group classes make it easy to feel connected and motivated rather than lost at the back of a room.

Every exercise has a modification, and Amanda, a licensed physical therapist of more than thirty years, teaches every class herself. Nobody is going to ask you to keep up.
