One-to-one · licensed physical therapist

One-to-one, start to finish

Just you and Amanda, for a full hour, a plan built around your body, your goals, your limitations, and whatever your last injury left behind.

An instructor's hands cueing a client's alignment during a one-to-one Reformer session

Why one-to-one

A completely personalized plan, and an hour where nobody is watching but her

Unlike group classes, one-to-one Pilates gives you a plan built around your body, your goals, your limitations, and what you want to achieve. It's just you and your instructor, focusing 100% on you.

If you're brand new to Pilates or coming back from an injury, Amanda recommends starting with a couple of private sessions. It builds confidence and proper form before you join a group class, and it means the first class you walk into isn't the first time you've touched a Reformer.

Four ways people arrive here

Who a private session is really for

  • 01 Just finished physical therapy You've been discharged, you're stronger than you were, and you're nowhere near ready for a gym. This is the gap the studio was built for.
  • 02 Brand new and honestly a bit nervous Two or three privates first, then group classes. You learn the machine and the vocabulary somewhere nobody is watching.
  • 03 Something specific to work on A knee replacement, an ACL reconstruction, a lower back that flares, a shoulder that won't go overhead. Amanda has rehabbed all of them.
  • 04 Or you'd rather bring someone Semi-private sessions are shared by 2–3 people, more personal attention than a class, more economical than a private, and more fun than either. Each session is customized to you and your partner, so choose someone at a similar experience level.
