Restorative Reformer

A Reformer class designed to restore flexibility, balance, spinal alignment, strength and proper posture, a little slower paced than the traditional class, and a great one at the end of a long week.

Who should come

Ease in gently with this slower-paced, mindful restorative class on the Reformer, ideal for newcomers.

It is a great class at the end of a long week, aimed at reversing the mental and physical stresses of the last five days. Every movement is thoughtfully paced to help you rebuild strength, control and stability.

  • 01 You are new to the Pilates Reformer. Nothing here assumes you have used the equipment before.
  • 02 You are recovering from an injury or illness. Amanda is a licensed physical therapist of more than thirty years. This is exactly the gap she opened the studio to fill.
  • 03 You want to move gently at the end of a long week. Calming for the body and, just as deliberately, for the mind.

What to expect

Slow, deliberate exercises that improve flexibility, balance and posture while calming the nervous system. Low impact throughout, and nobody is going to ask you to keep up.

A calming, guided class built around gentle mobility, supportive strengthening and breath-driven movement, with spinal alignment and whole-body awareness as the thread running through it. This is the class most people take before they take any other.
