How Do I Get Started?

Have you been thinking of trying out a Pilates class and don’t know exactly how to get started?

Well, look no further, let me help! Here are a few questions you should ask yourself so that you can find the right path for you….

1. Are you new to Pilates?

1. Yes? If the answer is “yes” you have a few choices. You can sign up for a private Pilates session to get you oriented to the method and the equipment. ABS Pilates of Sunbury, Ohio offers both 30 minute and 60-minute private Pilates sessions. Another choice is to sign up for the Restorative Reformer class at ABS Pilates. This is a Pilates class on the Reformer. It is a slower-paced class for those new to Pilates, those recovering from an injury or illness or someone who just wants to restore his/her flexibility and balance.
2. No? If you have participated in Pilates classes before, there are many different types and levels of classes offered at ABS Pilates. We offer Reformer classes, Tower classes, combination Reformer/Tower classes and Jumpboard classes. You can also contact ABS Pilates if you would rather schedule private Pilates sessions to get that customized workout.

2. Do you need morning classes or evening? Weekends or weekdays?

A. ABS Pilates of Sunbury, Ohio offers classes daily. We offer early morning classes at 6am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Evening classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Even midmorning classes every day except Sunday. Check out the complete schedule on my website www.a-b-s-pilates.com

3. How do I sign up?

A. ABS Pilates of Sunbury, Ohio uses MindBody Online for all class scheduling. You can either go on my website www.a-b-s-pilates.com to find the link to sign up for classes or go on your MindBody app, search for ABS Pilates and sign up that way.

4. How much are classes?

A. All classes are $20 for a single class or you may choose to purchase a package of 5 classes for $85. The package is good towards any class at ABS Pilates. All packages have a 6-month expiration date from date of purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferrable. If you are new to ABS Pilates, your first class is FREE!

5. What should I wear to the classes?

A. Women – Dress like you would for a yoga or Pilates class – yoga pants, breathable, comfortable top. Sticky socks or bare feet
B. Men – It is recommended for men to wear long exercise pants or shorts with biking shorts underneath and a t-shirt. Sticky socks or bare feet
